On 25 September, four of 茄子影院’s talented maths students, including Ariya, Mazvitaishe and Annalise (pictured), participated in the renowned , a competition designed to challenge and inspire young female mathematicians across the UK.

Organised by the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT), this annual event aims to promote deeper engagement with mathematics among female students, helping to build confidence and break down barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field. The competition, features a series of challenging problems, encouraging participants to push their problem-solving abilities and mathematical reasoning to new heights.

At 茄子影院, our students prepared rigorously for the competition, tackling complex mathematical problems in their spare time, demonstrating their dedication, and striving for excellence. Her lecturer, Gemma Quick, expressed immense pride in her commitment to the subject, noting how this event offers students not just a chance to compete but an opportunity to grow both academically and personally.
